Founded in 2011 with offices in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Lagos, Impact Amplifier is a leading accelerator, non profit Foundation, South African Financial Sector Conduct Authority regulated asset manager, and impact advisory firm, committed to developing the impact ecosystem in Africa.
What we do
- Acceleration & Business Development: Design and implement tailored acceleration programmes, investment readiness training, and bespoke business development services.
- Fund and Grant Management: Through the Impact Amplifier Foundation NPC (registration number 2019/283630/08), our non-profit donor-advised fund, and Impact Amplifier Fund Management (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2024/288718/07), we offer end-to-end fund and grant management services and develop blended capital solutions.
- Impact Assessments: Assist investors, institutions, and social enterprises in developing effective impact strategies, frameworks and assessments.
- Ecosystem Solutions: Conducting primary research and designing and implementing financial, social and ecological solutions that can be replicated and scaled throughout the continent.
Our Value Proposition
- African Impact Entrepreneurs - We focus exclusively on impact companies in Africa. This focus, over the last 14 years has allowed us to develop a unique understanding of the social and environmental solutions that work and how to make them economically viable;
- Support Alignment - The combination of investment readiness acceleration, fund management, and post investment support for growth oriented companies creates better due diligence and lower costs on investment deals, and allows us to invest in earlier stage impact businesses in a commercial viable way for all parties; and
- Impact and Investment Readiness Tools – We have developed a range of unique scoring and comparative tools to measure impact. Additionally, we have created an online learning management system to teach grant and investment readiness virtually. These tools create unique opportunities for supporting and managing impact entrepreneurs while coherently understanding and measuring impact.
