Investing into Social
Enterprises

Impact Amplifier supports high growth impact businesses to access funding from both local and international investors.

Partner With Us

There is often a mismatch between the opportunities impact investors are pursuing and what is available.

This disconnect is often related to perceptions about the market size and access, competitive advantage, financial model and plans, how to scale and more.

Impact Amplifier supports businesses to align their vision and plans with those of investors through its unique investment readiness process. To address some of the specific challenges in the social enterprise and investor ecosystem, Impact Amplifier has recently established LEAD Impact Capital (hyperlink to LEAD website here).

LEAD provides institutional capital to post seed social enterprises seeking their first round of significant funding (as a bridge to Series A funding), focused on building new systems and solutions for a new economy. Investments in earlier stage social enterprises are often smaller is size, riskier, and associated with higher transaction, and business advisory costs, resulting in an unattractive risk return profile for most investors. LEAD, in partnership with Impact Amplifier, has the expertise and innovative finance models to combine and leverage both capital and capacity to scale social innovations requiring between $80,000 – $700,000. LEAD, seeks to invest earlier, with higher risk appetites than traditional institutional impact investors, and leverage off a trusted ecosystem network.

Beyond LEAD’s asset management funds or when better suited for other funders, Impact Amplifier raises grant, equity or debt-based funding for social enterprise from a broad range of local and international impact investors.

Impact Amplifier’s entrepreneur clients typically meet the following criteria:

  • Clear growth potential
  • Demonstrable social / environmental impact
  • Competent and experienced management team with relevant track record
  • Proven concept / post revenue
  • Investment requirement between $80,000 – $10 million
  • Based in Africa
