With over two decades of experience in the financial industry, Nicky is a highly accomplished advertising and marketing professional. Her career highlights include serving as Managing Director of ad agency TBWA Cape Town and holding Group Head of Marketing positions at both Sanlam and 10X Investments.

Nicky’s deep understanding of financial access led her to establish Spoon Money, a registered credit provider and impact enterprise. Since 2018, Spoon Money has empowered over 2,000 informal women-led businesses in townships by issuing more than R16 million in capacity-building loans and offering wealth-creating savings solutions, significantly driving economic activity and growth in these communities.

Beyond her entrepreneurial endeavors, Nicky has held various executive roles at Sanlam, TBWA, and 10X Investments, and has contributed as a Non-Executive Board member for organizations such as Communicare (social housing), Finclusion (consumer credit), and Granate Asset Management (Investment). She holds a BSc Hons Degree in Digital Technology and a BA Degree in Psychology.
