Calling all Cape Town Social Enterprises – Yale is Coming to Support You!
Impact Amplifier and ASEN would like to make an exciting announcement to our network of social entrepreneurs. We have recently been contacted by leaders of the Global Social Enterprise (GSE) Club at the Yale University School of Management. Founded by students in 2004, the GSE club offers pro bono consulting services to non-profit and for- profit organizations working in the fields of social enterprise and international development.
The GSE club focuses on a specific country with a developing economy each year. Since its inception, the GSE club has worked with organizations in Peru, South Africa, Madagascar, Brazil, Colombia, and Thailand. This year, the GSE club is returning to South Africa and is looking to identify clients in Cape Town in order to help them address the business and strategic challenges that they face.
The GSE club is currently seeking for-profit and non-profit organizations at any stage in their development, that are led by an economic, social, cultural, or environmental mission consistent with a public benefit. Organizations will be evaluated on both their organizational capacity and potential to make a real and lasting impact on the local or global community.
Impact Amplifier and ASEN will be supporting the Yale team in this venture. We believe that the GSE club projects are win-win opportunities for both client participants and students. The GSE club goes to great lengths to ensure that their clients benefit from working with a team of 4-5 highly qualified students from the Yale School of Management and other graduate and professional programs at Yale. Along with the resources of Yale University, these students bring a wealth of experience to address the challenging, real world problems facing social enterprises and non- profits.
